Translation from German to English
Proofreading and Editing of English texts
Localization of English texts
Composition of English texts according to your specifications

My work is guided by the principle that the translation, editing or creation of any text must be paired with research into its subject matter and thorough familiarity with the applicable idiom. Any translation or text improvement is based on a thorough knowledge of the subject matter on the one hand and the specific language genre appropriate to that text on the other. My academic background and many years of experience in working with the written word have given me a broad base of topical knowledge to rely on, as well as the analytical and practical tools to be able to conduct necessary in-depth research for any text. I enjoy the challenge of new topics and content, and will be happy to research any text you entrust me with translating. My background and previous experience have given me particular skills in the fields of academic writing, culture, arts and architecture as well as technology.

I have been awarded the Diploma in Translation by the Chartered Institute of Linguists, London, as well as university degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Boston University and the Central European University. I have the Austrian trade license for language services and am a member of the Austrian literary and academic translators' union IG Übersetzerinnen Übersetzer and professional association Universitas Austria as well as being a Member (MCIL) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, London, UK, with Chartered Linguist status, and thus bound by the CIOL's professional Code of Conduct.

I guarantee you precision, reliability and consistency in all aspects of my work, ranging from the simple handling of the job, confidentiality and keeping of deadlines to the text itself, its content and language style.
